Travel Companion

Caregiver travelling with an elderly woman

Home care doesn’t always take place in the home. Homecare Solutions supports families through providing travel companions, in a variety of situations:

  • Travelling with loved ones in need of accompaniment, most often involving travel to winter destinations in the South.
  • Accompanying retired professionals who can no longer travel alone, to academic and professional conferences in America, Europe and Asia.
  • Assisting seniors with travel to important family events such as weddings, funerals, reunions, whether a short distance in town or farther away to locations in Canada and the US.

Our travel companions are seasoned caregivers who are experienced and well qualified to accompany their clients going through airport check-ins, arrivals at hotels and local destinations, and returning to Montreal.

Many families face the challenge of accompanying a parent or senior relative to a winter home in, for example, Florida. With busy schedules, our caregivers can ensure the senior is well looked after on the travel and settled into a Florida home, returning to Montreal after a short stay.
